Bishop Ramirez was the first and only Roman Catholic Bishop of Las Cruces.   • 12.08.15 Annual Native American Mass The Annual Native American Mass will be held at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 5:15 P.M.  Archbishop Michael J. Sheehan will preside. The Mass is in honor of all artists and their families participating in the Annual Indian Market and all the Native Peoples, particularly the Pueblo Tribes of Northern New Mexico.  All are welcome to attend.

At 11:50 a.m., Archbishop Sheehan will bless the law enforcement animals outside the courtyard of the gymnasium.
